Council member Peter Mitchell and the Ontario Farmland Trust would
like to invite you to join us for the Places to Grow Food conference
which is coming up this Thursday and Friday in Guelph. The purpose of
this event is to kick-off the dialogue toward developing a Places to
Grow Food plan for Ontario. With "Places to Grow" the Province has a
plan for where we are going to grow the 4 million people that are
expected to join Ontario's population in the next 30 years...let's
start thinking about how we're going to feed these people!

The conference will include a delicious local food dinner Thursday
evening with special musical guests Revival Dear. Local in April?!
Come experience what's possible!

GRANTS AVAILABLE:
We have a small pot of money to help cover the registrations for
individuals who might find the cost of attending this event
prohibitive. We are particularly interested in facilitating the
attendance of new and young farmers and new immigrants with this
funding.

For more information or to register please see the attached
registration form and news release or call Melissa Watkins at (519)
824-4120 ext.52686.
