It's time to get more creative.  How about using that
money to build a network of bikeways separate from
traffic through Toronto and across the GTA.  Have them
covered with green roofs and/or solar panels.  

Is the Government still talking highways because of
various lobby groups?

HOV lanes

Need evidence that our provincial government still
doesn't get it when it comes to global warming? Its
rationale for expanding the Queen Elizabeth Way is
that an eight-lane highway is more environmentally
friendly than a six-lane highway. Nice try. More lanes
mean more vehicles. More vehicles mean more greenhouse
gases.
