Subject: Leading Food Retailer and Environment Leader Speaks at March28 Meeting of Toronto-Area Ag Group

To celebrate its first year as a going concern, the Greater Toronto Area Agricultural Action Committee meets at Black Creek Pioneed Village on Wednesday, March 28, 2007.

The keynote speaker is Patrick Carson, author of the best-selling "Green is Gold" and key strategist behind Loblaw's No Name, President's Choice, and green product launches during the 1980s and 1990s, when Loblaw's was known as one of the leading food retailers in the world. The first annual meeting will also celebrate a new agreement signed by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, destined to be a pathbreaker in relations between conservationists and farmers.

Snacks will be served, and a cash bar is available. The meeting starts at 6:00 pm in the Victoria Room at the lower level at Black Creek Pioneer Village, and will finish at 8:30 pm.
