What will Toronto's built environment look like in
2020? Mayor David Miller is encouraging our city to
dream big and has called for Toronto to be the
greenest city in North America. What will this mean
for Toronto's construction and design practices and
how will it transform our residential, commercial and
industrial spaces? Green roofs, geothermal,
sustainable landscaping and conservation are already
on the horizon. What else can the human imagination
conceive? What role will mandatory green development
standards play? What opportunities can new
neighbourhoods such as Regent Park and the Portlands
provide?
