GreenTrans Update

 

NORTH OAKVILLE WEST

Public information meeting on Tuesday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. at Oakville
Town Hall to establish a North Oakville West Secondary Plan, including land
use, road patterns, and location of the Natural Heritage System.  Under
consideration is the entire area bounded by Dundas Street to the south,
Highway 407 to the north, the Sixteen Mile Creek to the east, and Tremaine
Road to the west.  

 

SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION COALITION

GreenTrans is a founding member of this coalition, whose mission is "To
redirect funds from unsustainable transportation infrastructure,
specifically roads and highways, towards sustainable modes."  New member
groups are being sought.  Attached is an endorsement form.  Contact

CYCLE & RECYCLE 2008 CALENDAR

This 11"x17" full colour wall calendar celebrates the bicycle as an everyday
transportation vehicle, in every season, throughout the world.  Proceeds
support bicycling.  Single copies are $15 plus $2 postage, obtainable by

NEXT GREENTRANS MEETING

Monday, October 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Oakville Town Hall,
Meeting Room B, just to the left of the main entrance.  Accessible by Bus
#20 from the Oakville GO station.
