Common Ground at McCully’s Hill Celebrates Great Chefs, Farmers and Food
St. Marys, ON - The 3rd annual "Common Ground" culinary tasting event will bring together some of the area’s best known chefs, farmers and local food products on the afternoon of September 23rd from 1 to 3:30 pm. With a beautiful backdrop of cattle and sheep grazing on hillside pastures, guests will enjoy gourmet food samples from over a dozen local and area chefs and food purveyors, all prepared using locally grown foods. Soothing jazz, provided by the Kevin Muir Trio, will round out the afternoon.
Common Ground is a unique opportunity to network with growers, view displays and learn more about farms and production methods. Confirmed local participants include Mollet’s Designer Desserts, Smith and Latham, Stone Willow Inn, Woolfy’s at Wildwood, Ann Slater’s Fresh Organic Vegetables, Blanbrook Bison Farm, McCully’s Hill Farm, Megens Berry Farm, Sheldon Berries, and the St. Marys Farmers Market Association. Other participants include Cave Spring Cellars, Stratford Brewing Company, Organic Meadow, Stratford Chef School, Pazzo Ristorante, and Bijou, to name but a few.
Common Ground is a partnership between Tourism St. Marys, Perth County Visitors Association, Stratford Tourism Alliance along with many of the area’s chefs, producers and purveyors of fine local food. Proceeds from the event will help to fund the development of the McCully Centre for Rural Learning.
