Metronauts Hamilton: An Unconference About the Future of Transportation

Metronauts in partnership with Metrolinx invites you to participate in
discussions about potential solutions for transportation in the Greater
Toronto and Hamilton Area

With the population of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area growing
quickly, transportation issues in the region are moving to the forefront of
public conversation.

Building on the tremendous success of its first event at the MaRS Centre in
Toronto the Metronauts community, with the sponsorship and active
participation of Metrolinx, is pleased to announce the second event in a
series of Metronauts unconferences.

 

Event:     Metronauts Hamilton: An Unconference About the Future of
Transportation

Date:       Saturday, May 3, 2008

Venue:    McMaster University, Kenneth Taylor Hall

Address:  1280 Main Street West, Hamilton, ON (directions are available on
the Metronauts website)

Registration is free and now open at http://www.metronauts.ca

This project aims to engage citizens in developing solutions for the
region's transportation challenges.  This initiative comprises two parts: an
online community at http://metronauts.ca and a series of community events
held across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton region between April and
September 2008.

Participation is free, but participants must register in advance for the
event by visiting the Metronauts.ca <http://www.metronauts.ca/>  website.
The website also provides event participants and interested citizens with an
avenue for discussion about the Metrolinx Regional Transportation Plan, and
facilitates individual and group projects for those looking to get more
involved.

We look forward to hearing your ideas and solutions to the transportation
challenges in our region.
