Yesterdays burning bags of mostly money and dreams amounted to a mere $70 billion in losses. Reports are streaming across the news ticker suggesting all market gains of 2007 went poof in one single day -Jan 21/08.
Everybody from Australia, Japan through Europe and England are reporting record losses and so its another bad hair day for everyone.

Breaking News: India's Sensex tumbles 11.5% in early minutes, trade halted 21 Jan 2008 India's Sensitive Index tumbled 11.5% within the first two minutes of trading on Tuesday, forcing a trade halt for an hour. The index stumbled 2,029.05 points to 15,576.30, after slumping 7.4% in the previous session. "It doesn't look good at all. We expected it to fall, but nobody expected this kind of correction," said Sharmila Joshi, a trader with Prabhudas Lilladher in Mumbai. 
Japan's Nikkei 225 Falls in Biggest Two-Day Drop in 17 Years 22 Jan 2008 Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average plunged, set for its worst two-day drop in 17 years on concern global growth is faltering. The Nikkei 225 tumbled 673.04, or 5.1 percent, to 12,652.04 as of 1:36 p.m. in Tokyo, set to close below 13,000 for the first time since September 2005.
