* Noah is responsible for TA's campaigns to improve and increase
walking, biking and transit in NYC and efforts to win congestion pricing,
complete streets and increase federal transportation funding.

2. Royal York Bike Lane - Opening event, July 15
While it's clear that there's still lots of room for improvement in
Toronto's cycling environment, it's also important to celebrate newly
installed bike lanes. Come join the City in celebrating the completion of
one of Toronto's newest bike lanes: Royal York Road (from Delroy Drive to
Mimico Creek).
Date: Tuesday, July 15th
Time: 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Location: East side of Royal York Road, at Castlebar Road.
Free juice and snacks will be provided.

3. Scarborough-Malvern Transit City LRT Route - EA Open Houses, July 23 & 24
>From the City's consultation web site:
"The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and the City of Toronto are
undertaking the preliminary planning for an Environmental Assessment Study
to identify a potential Light Rail Transit (LRT) corridor connecting Kennedy
Subway Station with northern Scarborough. This high quality transit service
will begin at Kennedy Subway Station. The preliminary preferred alignment
would travel east along Eglinton Avenue, northeast on Kingston Road, north
on Morningside Avenue to Sheppard Avenue where it would interline with the
proposed Sheppard East LRT. It would proceed westerly to Neilson Road, and
north along Neilson Road to the Malvern Town Centre. The LRT route would
provide service to University of Toronto Scarborough Campus and Centennial
College Ellesmere Campus."

4. Lower Donlands Public Forum - July 23

Waterfront Toronto public notice:
"Waterfront Toronto, the City of Toronto and the Toronto Transit Commission
are developing a plan to revitalize the Lower Don Lands and create a
vibrant, mixed use, sustainable community that embraces and respects a newly
naturalized and flood-protected mouth of the Don River.
The revitalization plan will include proposals for new neighbourhoods,
community facilities and public spaces, as well as a Master Plan for
transportation (including transit), water, wastewater and stormwater
infrastructure."
