Greetings,

Saturday, June 21, 10:00am:  
A guided tour of the upgraded and expanded Lou Romano Water Treatment
Facility.  The tour will be approximately 1.5 hours.  
The Lou Romano plant is the largest facility of its type and largest water
discharger on the Canadian side of the Detroit River.  Over $100 million has
recently been spent to expand its capacity and improve its ability to
protect source water.  Come on out and see what the money was spent on and
what improvements have been made.
This event is free, but due to limited space please RSVP no later than
Thursday, June 19.

Tuesday, June 24, 7:00pm:  
The Annual Weenie Award and Enviro Achiever Awards show.  The Weenies are
our chance to recognize the person, corporation or agency that has achieved
new lows in their contribution to environmental degradation in our region.
Come out and boo, jeer and heckle your favourite Weenie to victory!
The Enviro-Achiever Awards are a way to celebrate positive contributions
made by people and organizations in our communities.
The Awards show is being held at the Rock Bottom Bar & Grill, 3236 Sandwich
St., Windsor.

Nominations for Weenies and Enviro-Achievers must be submitted in writing no
later than Wednesday, June 18.
