Dear CAP Friend:

 

The Clean Air Partnership is pleased to invite you to the ninth annual Smog
Summit being held on June 4th at Toronto City Hall, Council Chambers. 

 

The theme of this year's Smog Summit is "Action on Clean Air and Climate
Change."  We hope you can join us to hear about the clean air and climate
change actions being undertaken by federal, provincial and municipal
governments across the GTA. Over the last year, the GTA Clean Air Council
has focused its efforts on research, municipal capacity building and the
implementation of clean air and climate change actions. We will report on
this progress at the 2008 Smog Summit.

 

A Green Development Best Practices Exchange will follow the 2008 Smog
Summit. This Best Practices Exchange will highlight actions being undertaken
across the GTA and region to increase the construction of green buildings
and developments that reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions and
create more sustainable communities. 

 

Green Development presentations will include:

*	Thought and behavioral changes required to move us to a low-carbon
future;
*	The business case for green development;
*	The making of low-carbon communities; and 
*	Green development practices from the GTA and beyond.
