Environment Commissioner Calls for Provincial Biodiversity Strategy <br>

</a>Environment Commissioner Gord Miller's latest annual report points to a looming crisis in ecosystem and resource management and calls on the the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) to develop a provincial biodiversity strategy. <br>

The excellent report of the Select Committee on Alternative Fuel Sources (see <a href="http://www.greenontario.org/news/0206.html" eudora="autourl">www.greenontario.org/news/0206.html</a>) has been handed over to Steve Gilchrist, the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy, who will consult with experts, consumer and environmental groups and market participants in the electricity, gas and fuel sectors with a view to making recommendations for a renewable portfolio standard for Ontario.<br>
