 Danish Research - copper and other metals in sludge may add to antibiotic resistance


This two page summary explains some research that was undertaken to look at the long term impact of adding metals,
like copper, to agricultural soils.  It would appear that the presence of some metals increases the expression of 
antibiotic resistance.

Land application opponents have always pointed out that there is little or no research being done on the impacts of 
combinations of contaminants in sewage sudge....the 'synergistic' effect.
