Ventura County trucks its solid human waste sludge (a.k.a. "biosolids") to 
Kern County north of Bakersfield, and so does Los Angeles County. Kern 
voters are about to pass restrictions on sludge imports from hated Southern 
California, pushing Ventura County to seek alternatives.
