There is some interest in new technologies to manage sludge.  Some of these are extended anaerobic digestion with methane capture, gassification, biomass, plasma arc, etc.
Here is a note on Pyromex...a high temperature technology that creates a syngas.  I just wonder how much fuel is involved in heating to these high temperatures.  Is there a net generation of energy?
