Dear Sludge Watchers,

You who are regular or even occasional readers are aware that Kern County
California
has had its share of trials trying to stop the sewer sludge of Los Angeles
from being
dumped on Kern's agricultural soils, and over Kern's precious water bank.

The Keep Kern Clean Campaign has been very ambitious, and very dedicated to
ending sludge pollution in Kern. If you could make a financial contribution
to this
effort, now is the time that your donation would make a big difference. Kern
is
organizing a vote to end the land application of sludge on June 6th.

Measure E on this June’s ballot would ban the dumping of sewage sludge on
county
land. Sludge is what’s left over after human and industrial raw sewage is
treated. And every day LA ships 40 truckloads of sludge and spreads it on
local
cropland.

Getting the word out about Measure E is costly. Kern needs your help.

Keep Kern Clean is a grass-roots volunteer effort to pass Measure E.

A small $25 donation will help Keep Kern Clean cover the cost of mail,
telephones to contact voters to support Measure E and regular office
expenses.

Its very easy now, just go to this website or click here:

Sincerely

Sludgewatch Admin
