Sludge Watch ==> Information request

Hello Maureen,

We are currently working with the former inventors and technical
directors of ESI. We have made significant technical improvements to
the technology which will be showcased later on in the year in Germany
(please see below for an update from our partner firm in Germany). By
the way, the EnerSludge plant in Perth is indeed no longer operating.
If anyone has any further questions, they are welcome to give me a call
at 206.437.2031. Thank you kindly,

Christian Frison

"We have become partners in an EU funded sewage sludge conversion
project. This is good news and we have to be in operation by of October
of this year, which means that we are running a very tight timetable.
Consequently you can inform your English sludge watcher contact that
there will be another conversion plant (capacity 5 dry tonnes per day)
up and running in Germany."

On Yahoo and Google search there are multiple articles and I first heard
of
"enersludge process" at a WERF conference in 7/2003. I have not seen
anything about the Perth plant closing. There is an institute studying
new
processes in Murdoch, AU. Their website is www.rise.org.au. They should
have
the newest data. The plant did have a lot of problems initially but it
was
taken over by the wastemanagement people and is said to use only one
operator per shift. The details sound fascinating. There are reportedly
plants that are similar elsewhere...Environment Canada, in South Korea,
Australia.

Under bankrupcy proceedings, I found the following information:

ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS: Reinstated on the ASX (Sounds like good news!)
----------------------------------------------
Environmental Solutions International Limited was reinstated on
the Australian Stock Exchange on January 19, 2006.

The Company has released a short form prospectus to remove
restrictions on the sale of shares, which were issued without
disclosure in December 2005.

In the prospectus, the Company invited investors to apply for up
to 200,000 shares at 10 cents each to raise AU$20,000. There
are 227,434,974 shares quoted.

The company's shares were suspended from trading on the ASX on
November 17, 2004, and administrators were appointed two days
after. On September 30, 2005, creditors approved an amended
Deed of Company Arrangement, in connection with the
restructuring and recapitalization of the Company, including the
settlement of all outstanding creditor claims.

The new board, composed of Gregory Fendis, Sachlan Fraval and
Faldi Ismail, plans to develop the Company's Enersludge
technology for processing and dewatering waste sludge.

One of the frustrations is that a lot of stuff on the internet is not
dated
BUT I have found nothing that stated the Perth plant closed. There is a
report :Biosolids Annual Report 2001-2002
Bulk Water & Wastewater Division...Biosolids Management Annual Report
2001 -
2002
For the Perth Metropolitan Wastewater Treatment Plants ...that I did not

take time to read.

www.zerowaste.sa.gov.au/pdf/alternative_waste_paper.pdf - interesting
website

Good luck; again the best source of objective data is probably the Rise
institute (cp website above).

Let me know if you find anything interesting!
