This is an issue of growing concern around the world. This interesting
booklet was printed and delivered to nearly one million households in south
east Queensland Australia.

Water Futures
Toowoomba City Council proposed to reclaim water from the city's sewage for
potable reuse. The proposal was defeated by a public vote 62% to 38% on July
29 2006. Goulburn is undertaking 'community consultation' on the same issue.
Queensland imposed adding sewage water to supplies in South East Queensland.
ALL AUSTRALIANS MUST BECOME ENGAGED IN THE DEBATE ABOUT SUPPLEMENTING URBAN
WATER SUPPLIES USING WATER EXTRACTED FROM SEWAGE.
