On December 12, 2007, the Biosolids Utilization Committee (BUC) and the
Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) will hold their annual
seminar on "Building Trust and Partnership between Biosolids Generators and
Receiving Communities." This follows on the heels of two previously
successful seminars held in Kingston and Guelph.
Experienced professionals will cover topics such as, updates on new
regulations, biosolids video presentations, comparison of international land
use regulations, farm and municipal case studies, public relations
perspectives, and an overview of current research on biosolids nutrient
benefits and quality issues.
There will be a facilitated panel discussion and an opportunity to network
with colleagues in our industry. The organizing committee encourages
participation from all government, industry and private sector stakeholders
to attend this interesting seminar where many important biosolids management
topics will be covered.
