Market Development Coordinator
(1 Year Term)

The Canada Council for the Arts is an independent national agency which
provides grants and services to professional Canadian artists and arts
organizations. It is funded by and reports to Parliament through the
Minister of Canadian Heritage.

The Market Development Coordinator is responsible for initiating audience
and market development policies, programs and activities to promote
dissemination opportunities for Canadian professional artists in all
artistic disciplines.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five year's experience as a presenter,
producer or promoter in several artistic disciplines, has experience in
producing live events, or curating exhibitions or screenings nationally and
internationally, experience in financial administration and has strong time
management and multi-tasking skills. He/she would also possess a thorough
knowledge of dissemination activity in Canada, and of the history and
current state of a variety of arts disciplines in Canada.

The candidate must be able to function fluently in both official languages
and have good desktop computer skills. The position is located in Ottawa and
requires up to 90 days of travel per year.
