Interim Production Manager

MTYP  is seeking an interim Production Manager for the period October 16
- December 31, 2001. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will
also work closely with the Artistic Director and other staff and artists
under the employ of MTYP.
The major emphasis for this interim position will be with the upcoming
production of The Secret Garden, beginning rehearsals on November 5,
2001 and opening on November 29 on the mainstage, closing December 30.
The areas of responsibility include: managing production and seasonal
staffing and expense budgets; coordination of production schedules and
supervising staff, crews, volunteers and placements.  The Production
Manager will also oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the facilities.
The successful candidate must be committed to the artistic vision of the
company and working with the current dedicated professional staff (24).

You should be a highly organized individual and have strong knowledge
and experience in all areas of theatre production.  MTYP is committed to

Production / Operations Manager

MTYP  is seeking an Production Manager  beginning January 2, 2002.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will also work closely
with the Artistic Director and other staff and artists under the employ
of MTYP.

staffing and expense budgets; preparation of production schedules and
supervising staff, crews, volunteers and placements.  The Production
Manager will also oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the facilities.

Manitoba Theatre for Young People, located in its new home, The CanWest
Global Performing Arts Centre, is situated at The Forks in Winnipeg, the
city's prime attraction site.
The facility includes a 325 seat reconfigurable performance space, a
rehearsal hall suitable for studio performances and classes, four
classrooms, production shops for carpentry, wardrobe and props, offices
and a lobby that links all components of the building into one focal
centre.  MTYP produces a ten-show season, on an annual budget of over
$1.5 million.
