MUSEUM INTERPRETER

The Glenbow is looking for an individual responsible for delivering
interactive, interpretive programs on the gallery floors in order to
assist visitors in making meaning from museum content.  This position
includes both Discovery Room interpretation, and Gallery Interpretation.

Qualifications include three to four years post-secondary training in
education, museum education, interpretation or in a discipline related
to Glenbow's collections, or equivalent work experience. One to two
years experience working directly with the public in an educational or
public service environment (museum, historic site, or art gallery
preferred).  Previous experience with or interest in the
heritage.cultural field (museums, galleries, historic sites, science
centers, zoos, etc.).  Presentation or performance experience (costumed
interpretation, teaching, public speaking, theater experience, etc.).
Minimum of intermediate level skills in Windows 95, WordPerfect and
Quattro Pro.

This is a term, casual "call-in" position to May 26, 2002. Salary range
is $12.72 - $16.10 per hour. These are current Union contract rates.
