Stewart Pearce

Biography

Stewart was born in London, England and held the position of Head of Voice
at the prestigious 'Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art' from 1981~1998,
having trained as an Actor Teacher and after working in Repertory Theatre
both in the UK and the USA. His journey as a Voice Coach began in 1980 under
the auspices of Cicely Berry at the 'Guildhall School of Music and Drama',
and he has taught in a number of the major British Drama Schools.
In 1998 Stewart became Voice Director of the 'London Academy of Theatre',
which was solely created for the classical training of
US Conservatory Acting Students.
Since 1999 Stewart has been the Master of Voice at 'Shakespeare's Globe'
heatre and facilitates Masterclass processes internationally; he has taught
in Belgium, France, Spain, Denmark and extensively throughout the USA.
In addition, for many years Stewart was Voice Tutor at the'Actors Centre
London' and has Voice Directed with the'Actors Touring Company', and other
major companies throughout the UK.
Currently, Stewart is Head of Voice at the 'Drama Centre London'.
His client list includes the luminaries of the entertainment industry:
Maria Aitken, Minnie Driver, Helen Lederer, Julia Ormond, Vanessa Redgrave,
Simon Callow, Jack Davenport, Mark Rylance and Ben Walden.

Stewart also works throughout the international Corporate Market as a
Presentation Consultant, dealing with all aspects of the public speaking
phenomenon including Stress Management, Selling with Integrity, Personal
Presence and Creativity Enhancement.
Current clients include: L'Oreal, Redken, Wella, Eastman Kodak, ITN World
News, McKinsey & Co.Inc, Cosma Inc., Futuresource and Cranfield Management
University. Having experienced leading spiritual teaching and
psychotherapeutic models, Stewart brings creative self~development issues to
the arena of Personal Presentation.
TV credits range from the 'Ester Rantzen Show' to the award winning BBC
'Confidence Lab'.
His seminal text "The Alchemy of Voice" will be published in 2002.
