PLAYWRIGHTS WORKSHOP
4324 St. Laurent (corner of Marie-Anne)
Mt. Royal or St. Laurent Metro stops

Sign-in between 9:30am - 12:00pm, singing begins at 10:00am

We are currently seeking only the following roles (and some understudies
for these roles):

TRACY TURNBLAD:
A heavyset, vibrant, lovable Caucasian female who is 5'3" or shorter
with an amazing singing voice and movement ability. An unstoppable teen
heroine!

MOTORMOUTH MAYBELLE: A powerful and inspiring African-Canadian female
with a large physique, an infectious personality, and a soulful
gospel/pop singing voice. Mom to two teenagers...

SEAWEED J. STUBBS: A groovy, sexy, African-Canadian male with a
knockout, soulful pop singing voice and movement ability. Able to play
senior high school age.

LINK LARKIN: A cute, sexy Caucasian male - the heartthrob of the local
TV dance show. Must be a strong pop singer and able to play someone at
the senior high school level.

EDNA TURNBLAD:  A funny, grand, physically large Caucasian male
character actor/singer who can convincingly play a woman. Tracy's
outrageous mother. 

Please prepare one brief 1960's - style pop song showing range. Bring
sheet music and a photo/resume stapled together. An accompanist will be
provided.
