Richard Thomas to Star in Benefit for PAL Vancouver


Richard Thomas will star as Tennessee Williams in "A Distant Country
Called Youth", based on the recently published letters of the young
playwright from 1920 - 1945 (age 16 to the opening of his first success,
"The Glass Menagerie"). 

Produced at the Hartford Stage and Tennessee Williams' New Orleans
Festival in 2002, this marks its Canadian Premiere, adapted and Directed
by Steve Lawson, Executive Director of the Williamstown Film Festival.
All proceeds will go to PAL Vancouver a non-profit society committed to
creating affordable living space for senior performing artists and
entertainment crafts people. 

This one-night-only event will take place Sunday February 23, 2003 at
7pm at the Arts Club Granville Island Theatre. Ticket prices are $65,
and $125 (which includes invitation to After-Party with Mr. Thomas and
Mr. Lawson attending). For tickets please call the Arts Club Box Office
at 604-687-1644.
