Pelagie - An Acadian Odyssey 
by Allen Cole and Vincent de Tourdonnet based on the novel
"Pelagie-La-Charette" by Antonine Maillet, directed by Michael Shamata,
a co-production with the National Arts Centre and the Atlantic Theatre
Festival. Toronto engagement is March 8 - May 1, 2004; Ottawa engagement
May 3- 29, 2004; Wolfville engagement August 2004.

Celina - 50s; mezzo; gritty, mystical older woman
Charlecoco - 20s; high baritone; Acadian fiddler (male)
English Captain - 30s-50s; high baritone; authority figure
Charles-Auguste Cormier - 20s; high baritone; strong strapping lad
Peter-Peter- 35-50 yrs; baritone; comedic
Death (female) - 40s-50s; mezzo; imposing presence
Marie Cormier - 30-45 yrs; mezzo; traditional, strong woman Marguarite -
40s; mezzo Pacifique - 30s-40s; baritone; devout, religious man
Thaddeus- Early 20s; tenor (male) 

All actors play multiple roles.  Tentative audition dates will be August
18 - 21, 2003 at CanStage.

*If you have submitted or auditioned for Pelagie in the past 4 months
you DO NOT need to re-submit.
