FUND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Job Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the Board of Director's in
planning, implementation and evaluation of all fundraising objectives of
the Theatre. This  role involves acting as a staff liaison for the
Board's fundraising activities undertaken for the Theatre.  The Fund
Development coordinator will participate in the development and
execution of a comprehensive  fundraising plan for the 29th season.,
2003/2004 , with emphasis on securing new areas of financial support for
the Theatre from both the corporate sector, and the Calgary Community.

Description of Duties:
Job duties for the position of Fund Development coordinator are to
include, but not be limited to: 
- In conjunction with the Sponsorship committee of the Board of
Directors, and in relationship to the annually approved Theatre budget,
identify and secure new sponsorship for all fundraising aspects of the
Theatre.
- Maintain relationships with current sponsors and donors
- Maintain the Donor Benefit Program
- In conjunction with the Evening Performance Committee of the Board of
Directors, identify and secure new purchasers for the Theatre's evening
performance packages, obtain feedback from the purchasers, and recommend
changes where appropriate.
- Manage the corporate and private donor mailing lists and database
system, including ensuring any changes to contact names, addresses etc.
are completed in a timely manner
- Distribute tax receipts and thank you letters for all donors, maintain
a numerical ledger for the tax receipt audit file.

Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and organizational skills,
successful experience in developmental fundraising for a not for profit
organization.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Job description and duties:

- Construction of sets from Set Designer's drawings
- Produce shop drawings from Set Designer's drawings
- Installation of sets on deck
- Running turnover crew
- Plant maintenance
- Maintaining all stage equipment
- Managing set budget
- Job delegation
- Assist Production Manager with Prop sourcing and construction
- Maintain inventory of tools
- Assist in Scenic painting
- Develop special effects as needed
- Company truck maintenance
- Pick up deliveries as required
- Develop an maintain relationships with suppliers

This position requires an individual with a strong work ethic, and good
problem solving skills.  The successful applicant must be able to work
well independently, and in a team environment.
A valid driver's license is required.
