CAEA DISCOUNT FOR INTENSIVE VOICE WORKSHOP with Sarah Weatherwax

WAKE UP AND WARM UP YOUR VOICE after a long, sleepy, cold winter!

There's still time to apply for this reasonably priced class!!

Students will be guided through the entire progression of
Warren/Linklater voice exercises - a complete physical and vocal warm-up
to prepare for auditions and performances. This work is also a very
practical, concrete way to keep your instrument tuned up and ready to go
between jobs. Time will be allotted for work on songs and audition
pieces. No previous experience with this methodology is required.

Each human body is a unique creation, therefore each body houses a
unique voice. Finding your most natural voice by eliminating habitual
muscular tension in your body is the beginning to becoming a more
refined, more expressive actor and/or singer. Freedom from habitual
tension means a letting go of the past. An ease in being fully present
can be discovered. Instincts are not curbed. Bold choices when
physicalizing characters become more readily available. The actor is now
free and open for - what is perhaps the most important part of the craft
-- listening.

teacher includes classes for professional actors, classes for children
with speaking challenges and workshops for school teachers and public
speakers. Last year, she spent 4 months observing Kristin Linklater
teach voice to M.F.A. Acting students at Columbia University. She
continues to go to New York regularly for voice teacher workshops and
private lessons with Andrea Haring, Ms. Linklater's appointed trainer of
