Scope
 
The Production Co-ordinator II co-ordinates activities within the production areas of Centrepointe Theatre and implements the technical and staging requirements during an engagement and performs the duties of a technician.

Statement of Qualifications
 
Education/Experience
 
Grade 12. 
Minimum of two year's previous supervisory experience in a theatre environment and experience in the operation of computerized lighting, concert sound and counterweight flying systems. 
Ability to attain current CPR and First Aid certificates. 
Completion of health and safety training required by legislation and by the Corporation of the City of Ottawa. 
Criminal Record Check
 
The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal clearance to the City of Ottawa's satisfaction. 

Transportation
 
Unrestricted class G driver's license with no more than 7 demerit points accumulated and access to efficient, reliable transportation. 

Competencies/Skills
 
-Effective interpersonal communication, customer service and leadership skills; 
-Proficiency and training in theatre lighting, sound, rigging and staffing techniques 
-Liaise with theatre users 
-Coordinate activities within the production area during an engagement. 
-Apply policies and procedures as directed. 
-Oversee and ensure the proper use of equipment and tools. 
-Maintain security and a clean and safe working environment. 
-Assist in the training of production staff and volunteers, provide guidance to personnel as required, and encourage a high level of volunteer participation. 
-Prepare reports and evaluations. 
-Verify accuracy of time cards. 
-Operate equipment. 
-Working knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety legislation. 
-General knowledge of corporate/departmental policies and procedures related to health and safety. 
-Performs work in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all City of Ottawa corporate/departmental policies an procedures related to Occupational Health and Safety. 

Language
 
Oral fluency, reading and writing ability in English 
Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
