7-WEEK Voice Over INTENSIVE WITH TONY ALCANTAR 

This workshop is designed to help actors who: 
(1) FLOUNDER with their approach to character, 
(2) SOUND TOO CANADIAN, 
(3) are VOICE ACTORS looking to expand their talents or 
(4) are WEAK when it comes to on-camera improvisation auditions and 
(5) material for VOICE OVER DEMO!

Saturdays from January 17th to February 28th, 2004

 The Class:

In this Character Workshop you'll get 6 weeks of animation, narration
and commercial voice over-intensive with Second City alum Tony Alcantar
(co-star of NBC's Emmy Award Winning American Dreams).

 The Bonus:

5 hours of in-studio work at SeaCoast Sound recording studio!  Each
student will receive his (or her) recorded material, which can be used
for voice-over demos!

3.VOICE WORKSHOP-KITCHENER

VOICE MASTERCLASS with DAVID SMUKLER

In this Masterclass, we examine various elements of the voice:  the need
to communicate, giving power to the need with breath, activating the
vocal channel and resonating through the body's speaker system.

DAVID SMUKLER has coached and directed with major theatres and drama
schools in Canada, the U.S., Great Britain and the Netherlands,
including classical theatre, opera, and experimental theatre.  The
director of training for the National Voice Intensive in Vancouver,
B.C., he has worked extensively with performers, directors, and
broadcasters in theatre, opera, film, and television.  Professor Smukler
was honoured in 2000/2001 with the Faculty of Graduate Studies Teaching
Award for his contribution to academic excellence at York University.
