Actors needed for upcoming SummerWorks Production!

One Skin Missing Productions presents The Happy Woman, written by Rose
Cullis, as part of the 2004 SummerWorks Theatre Festival, August 5-15th,
which is being held at The Factory Theatre and Theatre Passe Muraille
(the specific venue will be determined late May). Rehearsals for the
production will begin mid-July.

The Happy Woman is about an older woman whose attitude toward life is
essentially celebratory and grateful, despite the fact that things have
not always been that easy for her. When the story opens, her
emotionally unstable daughter-in-law is pregnant with her first
grandchild, and her daughter is mired in a kind of mysterious angst.
The play asks questions about the nature of happiness, and about the
circumstances under which it is possible.

The play is directed by Brenda Anderson, an equity director who has
worked on over 80 productions in theatre - Canada, USA, Edinburgh - and
in opera - Vancouver, Calgary, Banff, Edmonton.

We are seeking performers for the following roles:
The Happy Woman: A reasonably heavy-set woman in her fifties/early
sixties Bella Donna: The Happy Woman's middle-aged (female) neighbour.
Christian: The Happy Woman's son. He is in his mid/late twenties, and
is strong and handsome, with an "arty" looseness in his manner.

Please contact Rose Cullis at 416-654-8574 (rosecullis at rogers.com).

Equity members participating in this production will be signed to a
Fringe waiver and all net proceeds from the production will be divided
equally among the participants.
