MORE THAN APPLAUSE 2 - AN EVENING TO BENEFIT THE ACTORS' FUND OF CANADA

TORONTO: September 27, 2004

The line up is complete and The Actors' Fund is proud to present "More
Than Applause 2", the second annual evening of music, dance and stellar
entertainment featuring a cast of the brightest and best from Toronto's
performing arts community. Among the luminaries performing are dance
legend Rex Harrington, plus a top-notch roster of talent from Mamma Mia,
Hairspray, Urinetown and The Producers, to name but a few. And if that
weren't enough, the evening is hosted by actor/writer/comedian, Scott
Thompson.
 
The Actors' Fund of Canada is a registered charity that promotes
excellence for performers, creators, technicians and other members of
creative and production teams in all entertainment industry sectors. The
Fund carries out this mission by providing encouragement and short-term
financial aid to help entertainment industry workers maintain their
health, housing and ability to work after an illness, injury or sudden
unemployment. The "More Than Applause 2" gala kicks off a national week
of awareness and fundraising for the Actors' Fund, running from October
18 - 25.

The event has received great support from sponsors including Lead

"More Than Applause 2" happens Monday, October 18, 2004, 8:00 p.m., at
the Jane Mallett Theatre, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts. Tickets are
