2. BOUFFON WORKSHOP - OTTAWA
--------------------------------------------
This September, Adam Lazarus is offering Ottawa an intensive exploration
of the Bouffon clown.

This workshop is for both professional and beginning artists interested
in using performance to poke fun at social norms, or to simply overcome
performance inhibitions.

Working in the tradition of French Bouffon/Clown Master Philippe
Gaulier, the workshop begins with the study of Jeu - a French
performance style that encourages a sense of play. Through Jeu, you will
rediscover your mental and physical agility, sensitivity, stillness and
complicity in a group. The class will then progress into building
Bouffon characters and turns, with daily work on building spatial and
bodily awareness.
