PLAY SYNOPSIS: "Sitting Pretty" is a musical comedy with heart about a man named Sam Thorn who thinks he's got it made. He has a good job as the host of a children's television show and he has a beautiful fiancée. He truly is "sitting pretty." Then his world begins to fall apart. His television show is cancelled and his fiancée breaks off their engagement. As a result, Sam decides that a lifestyle change is in order and sets off in search of new meaning in his life. Along his journey he meets many unusual characters.

CHARACTERS:
Sam Thorn (35) - strong singer, charismatic, energetic, a bit naive about the world around him

1 Male (40 to 60) - to play all the other male parts in the show - a very strong character actor and singer that can play a diverse number of roles and ages

1 Female (30 to 40) - to play all the female parts in the show - also a very strong character actor and singer that can play a diverse number of roles and ages
