"Theatrelab" at Professional Actors Lab
 
Fridays: 1pm - 4pm
 
An ongoing dynamic scene study class. A chance to sharpen your acting
skills with the great writers. This is not a beginner class, but is very
useful to work with texts you've never tried before, or to return to
theatre scripts after mostly on-camera work. Beginner's Mind for
experienced actors.
 
Each 4 week cycle costs only $175

Instructor:
Melee Hutton was born in Northern Ireland, trained at the Royal Scottish
Academy of Music and Drama and holds an MFA in Acting and a Certificate
in the Teaching of Acting from York University. She has worked in the
West End, the Royal Court Thetare, The Royal National Theatre of Great
Britain , London England, as well as all the major British repretory
companies. In Canada she has performed at CanStage (DVxT"s The Doll
House), Festival of Classics, Buddies in Bad Times, STC, as well as TV
and Film and Voice work.

2. COMMEDIA DELL'ARTE WORKSHOP - TORONTO

commedia dell'arte workshop
a one week intensive workshop working with the masks of Italian mask
maker Sartori.
mask play of the Italian Comedy brings the actor face to face with the
fundamentals of acting. This work wakes up gestures, rhythms and
emotions that are burried deep inside the actors imagination. The aim of
the workshop is to give life and precision to the movement within each
actor.
Leading the workshop is Dean Gilmour who has been teaching and creating
theatre in Toronto, across Canada and throughout Europe and Asia for 26
years.
Cost: $450.00
