The CAEA's BC/Yukon's Regional Women's Committee will be celebrating
International Women's Day 
with the busTin' ouT Festival Lucky 7
March 8 - 11, 2005
Produced by full figure theatre company 
in support of Breast Cancer Research

To kick-off the festival

The busTin' ouT Soirie. 
March 8, 8pm, 2340 W. 4th Avenue.

Enjoy a night of entertainment while
raising awareness for Breast Cancer Research with
stand-up comedy, music, dance and theatre.
The hilarious Christine Lippa will be
hosting an "I must be in Vegas" night with such talents as: 
Tammy Bentz, The Pussy Willows, Candus Churchill, 
Emelia Symington-Fedy, Kim Pechett, and Jenn Griffin.

The Canadian Actors' Equity Association's
Women's Committee
Celebrates
International Women's Day on
Monday, March 7, 2005

W.A.C.T.! (Women Act in Canadian Theatre)
 Hosted by Penny Lee Colbourne from CTV's Take One and

featuring some of Montreal's most exciting female artists:

Danielle Desormeaux, Alexandria Haber, Janis Kirshner, Ann Lambert, =
Julie Tamiko Manning, Eleanor Noble, Danielle Skene, Laura Teasdale and
Emma Tibaldo, along with special guests including Sonali Karnick and the
Out of the Mouths of Babes Choir

New this year, the National CAEA Women's Committee commissioned each of
the Women's Committees across Canada to submit pieces they felt
represented their own region.  On March 7th the Montreal women will
perform the collection of these pieces, from song to prose to
"interpretive dance" in their respective cities.  Come and join the =
Montreal chapter. The Comedyworks has generously donated their space for
this worthy event.

For the past 5 years, the Montreal branch of this committee has been
fundraising on behalf of local women's foundations Breast Cancer Action
Montreal (BCAM) and Herstreet/Rue des femmes. Last year they raised
$6,600.00. BCAM is a regional grass-roots organization whose focus is to
offer support to women with breast cancer, educate the community and
research the causes. Herstreet is a local organization that offers safe,
non-discriminatory drop-in and living spaces for homeless women and
women in difficulty.

Monday, March 7 at 8pm
Tickets at the door (minimum donation of $10)

All proceeds of this event will go to
Herstreet/Rue des femmes and Breast Cancer Action Montreal.
