CALL FOR SUBMISSION: FRINGE - AUDITION -TORONTO
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Demimonde
written and directed by Jenny Young
produced by Donikers Daily at the Toronto Fringe Festival in July 2005

The Demimondes is the story of 5 women who were prostitutes during the
Gold Rush in Dawson City in 1897. The piece, set in a Dance Hall
(site-specific location TBA), explores the extravagance and style of
these women, the respect they gained and what they had to go through to
get it. The 1890s in the Klondike was one of the most bizarre times and
locales in Canadian History.
The cast includes Aviva Armour-Ostroff, Claire Calnan, Sarah Gilchrist,
Pasha Mckenley, Robert Perrault, Gray Powell and Juno Ruddell. Donikers
Daily produced the Fringe hit Inanna in 2004, voted Most Outstanding
Production by NOW Magazine.

Looking for an actor/musician to play the role of Gruff Gil, a piano
player who will be on stage during most of the play. We're looking for
a musician who is comfortable improvising in rehearsals and has skill or
an interest in the "Rag Time" style of playing. There will also be an
opportunity to play some of the smaller male roles in the show,
dependent upon the interest of the individual.

Please submit a photo and resume OR a letter of interest to:
donikers_daily at hotmail.com

"Equity members participating in this production will be signed to a
Fringe waiver and all net proceeds from the production will be divided
equally among the participants."
