JOB - DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY - HALIFAX

The Department of Theatre at Dalhousie University invites applications
for a ten-month limited-term appointment in Acting, at the rank of
Lecturer or Assistant Professor, commencing August 1, 2005. 
The responsibilities of this position include teaching the equivalent of
four full classes in Acting and Theatre Studies, including the
first-year Introduction to Theatre class. 
The position may involve directing one DalTheatre production. In
addition to this, the successful candidate will be expected to
participate in the administration of the Acting Program along with the
other three Acting faculty members. 
The qualifications required for this position include: 
1) MFA or equivalent; 
2) a minimum of five years of active professional experience as an
actor, director, and/or acting teacher; 
3) ability in the following areas: classical text interpretation, scene
study, audition technique, and dramatic literature. 
Experience with teaching academic writing considered an asset.
