CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - WHITEHORSE

Nakai Theatre and Gwaandak Theatre in Whitehorse are casting for the
premiere production of WHERE THE RIVER MEETS THE SEA by Patti Flather.
Director: Vinetta Strombergs

LOCATION: Yukon Arts Centre, Whitehorse
DATES: February 13 to March 18, 2006

The story revolves around two half-sisters who find each other despite
the objections of a single mom who is fighting many demons from her
past, even though she seems to be building a new life in Vancouver. The
new man in her life makes things worse because he is developing land
which also has a complicated history.

ROLES:
Lu-Anne - 35-year-old First Nations Salish woman (Musqueam Reserve) 
Jade - her daughter, about to turn 16 
Katrina - Jade's half-sister; 21 
Dayne - mid to late 30s, Scottish.

Preference given to actors in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton area.
