EQUIFLASH - SHAKESPEARE BY THE SEA SIGNS ON TO THE ITA

The Board of Shakespeare by the Sea is proud to welcome Equity member
Jennie Raymond as the theatre's new Co-Artistic Director/Producer. 

Shakespeare by the Sea has signed a letter of adherence to the
Independent Theatre Agreement. Equity members are now permitted and are
welcome to audition for and take work with Shakespeare by the Sea for
its 2006 season of "Much Ado about Nothing" and "Richard II". 

Rehearsals for "Much Ado About Nothing" are scheduled to begin May 20th.

The Independent Theatre Agreement is the scale agreement for
professional theatres which are not members of PACT and includes minimum
requirements for:
* Health and safety standards
* Stage management
* Outdoor venues
* Repertory theatre
* Dispute resolution

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in the productions will be engaged under the Independent
Theatre Agreement.
