RED BARN THEATRE 2007 SEASON AUDITIONS

Auditions are by application only.

For further information regarding The Dishwashers, Fallen Angels and
Broadway Treasures auditions please contact Renee Blake at the Red Barn
Theatre at 905-476-9584. The Dishwashers and Fallen Angels are available
at Theatrebooks
and the Metro Central Library. Broadway Treasures is not yet published.
Copies of The Dishwashers and Fallen Angels will be available for
perusal at the audition, but must stay on the premises.

The Dishwashers by Morris Panych / Director: Jordan Merkur 
Audition Requirements: Sides will be provided from the script in
advance.
In the dingy basement of an upscale restaurant, three co-workers discuss
the Zen of dishwashing and the meaning of life in this new dark comedy.

Rehearsals:  begin May 28 - rehearsing for 2 weeks in Toronto.
Performances:  June 13 to June 30 - Tuesday through Saturday - opening
night June 15.

Fallen Angels by Noel Coward / Directed by Jordan Merkur
Audition Requirements: Sides will be provided from the script in
advance.
For Julia, Jane, Fred and Willy, British accents are required at the
audition.
For Maurice a Parisian accent is required at the audition.
Year ago, best friends Julia and Jane had a French lover in common named
Maurice. Now seven years later, their comfortably dull married lives are
thrown into hilarious disarray by his impending return. 
Rehearsals: begin July 9 - rehearsing for 2 weeks in Toronto.
Performances:  July 26 to August 11 - Tuesday to Saturday - opening
night July 27.

Broadway Treasures conceived and directed by Jordan Merkur / Musical
Direction and Arrangements by Mark Camilleri
Audition Requirements: Sing one up tempo song and one ballad of your
choosing from musical theatre repertoire. A piano accompanist will be
provided. No sides required.
The songs of Stephen Sondheim, Kander and Ebb, Jule Styne, Rogers and
Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cole Porter, Jerry Herman, Lionel Bart
and many others are blended together to create a brand new revue that
celebrates the great humour, passion and power of musical theatre.  
Rehearsals: begin July 30 - rehearsing for 2 weeks in Toronto.
Performances:  August 16 - Sept 1- Tuesday through Saturday, opening
night August 17.

Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. Equity members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
