AUDITIONS - CALGARY
-------------------
Vertigo Theatre will be holding auditions for its production of Shear
Madness on July 19th & 20th, 2006 in Calgary. Actors must be
available for the period of March 27 through to June 10, 2007.

Auditions will be held at Vertigo Theatre.

Please send a cover letter expressing your interest in the show along
with a headshot and resume to:

ATTN: SHEAR MADNESS

Artists will be contacted with specific audition times. Artists are
asked to prepare one contemporary piece that showcases their comedic
ability, no more than 4 minutes in length

We are looking for actors to fill the following roles:

BARBARA DEMARCO is the hairstylist who keeps Shear Madness running
efficiently. (Age range 23-39.)

MIKEY THOMAS is a preppy-looking, eager-beaver who's a capable and
earnest undercover cop. (Age range 23-30.)

EDDIE LAWRENCE is the "mystery man" of the piece.  He is a well-dressed,
nice-looking confidence man who covers a dangerous interior with a
smooth, suave, and occasionally charming exterior.  (Age range 30-55).

NICK ROSSETTI is a likeable, approachable, forceful cop.  He has to make
many decisions throughout the show and interacts directly with the
audience. (Age range: 30-50.)

MRS. SHUBERT is an old-money socialite of impeccable breeding and
manner. (Age range 45-70.)

Vertigo Theatre is a member of PACT and engages artists under the terms
of the Canadian Theatre Agreement
