2006 - 2009 EQUITY ELECTION RESULTS ANNOUNCED
--------------------

Equity has a new slate of elected representatives for the 2003-2006
Council term. 

With a 28% return on ballots, Equity members have voted in a 22 member
national Council as well as regional Councillor(s) Policy Advisory
Groups across the country.

Many thanks to the indefatigable tellers Robert Andrews, Barbara Gordon,
Liz Gordon, Ken Jones Ann MacMillan and David Vanderlip who volunteered
their time to help with the counting of the election ballots.

The newly elected Councillors will take office at the first meeting of
Equity's Council, November 26 - 28 in Toronto, where they will vote on
the positions of President and the officers of the Association.

The newly elected regional CPAGs will begin to pass over
responsibilities beginning in early December.

Atlantic - 1 Councillor
