Theatre Passe Muraille seeks new Artistic Director

Theatre Passe Muraille is a national company based in Toronto that
develops and produces innovative and provocative Canadian theatre and
nurtures new theatre artists and theatre companies.

For almost 40 years, Theatre Passe Muraille has been dedicated to
reflecting the hearts and minds of the country through producing
affordable, accessible, culturally diverse, and entertaining live
theatre. We passe through walls by working collaboratively with fresh
voices and new partnerships. 

We are looking for an artistic director who is:

A talented theatre practitioner with demonstrated leadership skills
Committed to the development of Canadian playwrights and the production
of Canadian plays
Knowledgeable about theatre both in Canada and internationally
Eager to work collaboratively with a dedicated team
A skilful communicator, in person and in writing, and who is able to
represent the Theatre to its audience and the public
Experienced in writing successful government grant applications as well
as developing corporate & private foundation grant applications 
Prepared to partner with the general manager and jointly report to the
Board of Directors

This is a full-time, permanent position. Only Canadian residents will be
considered. 

Interested applicants should have extensive experience directing
professional theatre productions.  We require a resume and a covering
letter that outlines why you are interested in the position and
describes your artistic vision or area of artistic interest.
