CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

BUDDIES IN BAD TIMES THEATRE ANNOUNCES A CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR
HYSTERIA: A FESTIVAL OF WOMEN, the largest multi-disciplinary showcase
of its kind in North America.

DEADLINE May 15, 2007

Buddies is seeking submissions for it's 4th incarnation of this
international showcase of female talents from the worlds of theatre,
dance, film & video, performance art, music and visual art. Curated by
Buddies' Associate Artist Moynan King, HYSTERIA is a vital female forum
for presentation, discussion and exchange, unlike any other in the
country.

For two weeks, Buddies' 12 Alexander Street digs play host to a
jam-packed calendar of events, showcasing over one hundred female
artists from across North America and around the world. The worlds of
theatre, dance, visual art and music intersect as HYSTERIA offers
uniquely eclectic mixed programmes that feature anything and everything
from a one-minute film to a sculptural installation, to dance piece, to
a ten-minute cabaret performance. Hysteria also presents short plays,
new opera, musical cabaret, film, dance, video, panel discussions,
classes and a visual art gallery, open throughout the festival.

Buddies seeks submissions from any artistic discipline of new creations
as well as existing works by emerging and established artists from
diverse cultural, sexual and artistic backgrounds. Submissions
guidelines and application forms are available on Buddies website.
Hysteria participants will receive an honourarium. A List of successful
applicants will be posted online by August, 2007.

Application forms and full submission guidelines are available on our
website.
