JOB - PRODUCTION MAMAGER - PORT DOVER
-------------------------------------
Position: Production Manager
Lighthouse Festival Theatre
Application Deadline: January 31st, 2007

Lighthouse Festival Theatre is a highly successful summer theatre
entering its 28th year of operation. Serving an all-Canadian mandate,
LFT produces a Main Season of four shows from June through August, plus
a Season Topper in September, Youth Programs and annual Playwrights'
Festival. LFT owns and operates the Town Hall theatre, a 350 seat
proscenium theatre, in beautiful lakeside Port Dover.

LFT has an employment opportunity for a full-time Production Manager.
This is an exciting, fast-paced, dynamic position. It demands strong
organizational, supervisory and trouble-shooting skills. The Production
Manager will be a strong leader who can manage and motivate a diverse
team, working under tight time constraints.

Reporting to the Artistic and Administrative Directors, and working
closely with the theatre's Technical Director, the candidate will be
responsible for creating and implementing a production schedule,
including design meetings, production meetings, load-ins, technical
rehearsals, and strikes. The candidate must be competent at managing
production budgets, and be able to provide thorough and accurate
paper-work in a timely manner. In addition to the scheduling and
supervising of production personnel, the Production Manager will serve
as liaison between the production, creative, and administrative teams,
as well as coordinate the transfer of joint productions with partner
theatres.

This contract position is seasonal, beginning in May and lasting until
early September. It is understood that some preparation, planning and
coordination will take place prior to the start of the season.

The candidate will have a minimum of either a two-year technical diploma
with production management experience or five years of working in the
industry.

Salary will be negotiated and is dependent on experience.
