ONLINE PETITION IN SUPPORT OF ACTRA

Equity continues its support of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema,
Television and Radio Artists' (ACTRA) legal strike against the Canadian
Film & Television Production Association (CFTPA) which entered its 4th
week today.

Early last week the producers' association went to court attempting make
'interim agreements' illegal and force ACTRA into an unlimited general
strike, shutting down all film and television production across Canada.
A decision is pending.

ACTRA has created an online petition calling on the CFTPA to end its
dispute and return to the bargaining table to negotiate a fair agreement
binding on both parties.
Equity members are urged to support ACTRA and sign this petition
