6. PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE INTENSIVES - TORONTO

Physical Performance Intensives
with Adam Lazarus and guest instructors

Working in the tradition of French Master Teachers Philippe Gaulier and
Jacques Lecoq, the forefathers of physical theatre and clowning, these 5
day courses challenge students to take risks, hone their improvisational
skills and push through performance inhibitions to find the pleasure of
being present, space, rhythm, fixed point, complicity, focus, flop and
play.

Students will have daily work on building spatial and body awareness and
specialized instructors will teach acrobatics, movement, 5 rhythms

Week 1: The Physical Body and Le Jeu
Monday Nov. 5 - Friday Nov. 9 - 10am - 2pm

Week 2: Introduction to Bouffon
Monday Nov. 12 - Friday Nov. 16 - 10am - 2pm

Week 3:  Building a Performance
Monday Nov. 19 - Friday Nov. 23 - 10am - 2pm

$300 for 20 hours of instruction over 1 week ($240 equity) $590 for 40

7. SCENE STUDY WORKSHOPS WITH LEWIS BAUMANDER - TORONTO

This unique set of workshops has an action based focus in the vein of
David Mamet. Simple and straight forward: no misleading buzzwords or
clever theories. You will come to depend more on your own innate
abilities as an actor and become less dependant on "methods" or
"theories" for acting. Lewis' classes begin on a weekly basis Monday
Sept. 4th through Thursday Sept 6th at Castinglink (at 10 St. Mary 2nd
floor) and run for 6 weeks from 7pm to 10:30pm and are free to audit. 
Classes are limited to 10 students. 
Classes are $325 and $265 for CAEA.
