Sara Goode- Enormously successful American woman, leads quiet, almost
cold, expatriate life, now living in London, England, fifty-four years
old

Georgeous Teitlbaum - Dr. Gorgeous, very attractive, loving housewife
and mother, who has her own call in advice radio program, New
York-Jewish accent- forty-six years old

Pheni Rosensweig - Peripatetic third-world travel writer, alas
unmarried, forty, appears younger

Mervyn Kant - A furrier, mid- fifties, charming, gregarious and very
funny, New York-Jewish

Geoffrey Duncan - On again off again bisexual lover of Pfeni,
attractive, forty year old man, flamboyant theatre director

Tess Goode - Sara's daughter, idealist, seventeen, expatriate living
with her mother in London, England

Tom Valiunus - Tess' boyfriend, twenty, a working London England class
hero, with spiked hair and black boots

Nicholas Pym - Extremely well groomed, upper-class British gentleman,
mid fifties
