General Audition Notice - MOB HIT PRODUCTIONS, CALGARY
 
Calgary's Mob Hit Productions will be holding GENERAL AUDITIONS for
their 2008-2009 Season on May 2 and 3, 2008 at the Arrata Opera Centre,
1315 - 7 Street SW  Calgary, Alberta.  

Actors who have not worked with Mob Hit Productions before are
encouraged to arrange an audition on our website at
www.thisisamobhit.com.  Auditions are by appointment only.  

Actors who have worked with Mob Hit Productions in the past three years
are asked to contact Ellen Chorley, Head of Story directly at
echorley at thisisamobhit.com  and indicate interest in a specific project.


At this time, Mob Hit Productions will be casting for all three plays in
our 2008-2009 Season:

LOBBY HERO by Kenneth Lonergan
Contract dates (rehearsal and performance) October 12, 2008- November
30, 2008
JEFF-  a security guard (male aged 21-28)
WILLIAM- Jeff's supervisor (male age 23-30, actors of race are
encouraged to apply)
BILL- a hot shot cop (male aged 25-32)
DAWN- his rookie partner (female aged 21-28)

EMMA BURDEN by Ellen Chorley
Contract dates (rehearsal and performance) January 4, 2009-February 15,
2009
4 females and 3 males
Movement and music experience is required for this production

THE BACCHAE by Euripedes (translation by Kenneth McLeish)
Contract dates (rehearsal and performance) May 3, 2009- June 14, 2009
DIONYSIS- the god of wine (male aged 21-35)
TEIRESIAS- (male aged 30+)
CADMUS- the past king of Thebes (male aged 30+)
PENTHEUS- king of Thebes (male aged 21-35)
AGAVE- the past queen of Thebes (female aged 25+)

Movement and music experience is required for this production.

Actors are asked to prepare two contrasting pieces- one contemporary
monologue and one classical monologue totalling no longer than five
minutes in length.  

Actors interested in being considered for Emma Burden or The Bacchae,
please prepare a short song to be performed accapella.

Actors with tumbling experience or actors that can play a musical
instrument- please let us know and bring your talent to the audition.
 
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity
members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity form of
contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the
audition.
